A Stories & Inventions Ideas List

Perhaps with a group of people, for my 'puppets and dolls to make' list from earlier today.

1) decorate sheets of paper in a variety of ways.
2) cut papers in quarters. Cut papercut figures - four different from each sheet.
3) or, fold papers in quarters. Cut Papercut figures so you have four of the figure.
4) arrange variety of figures on a blank sheet.
5) or, attach sticks to top or bottom of figures to make stick puppets.
6) create scenarios and scenes using figures and puppets.
7) enact in front of backdrop drop/screens. Improv, scripted, or chance combinations.
8) make extra set of figures on a set of cards to be shuffled and selected randomly.
9) create a book out of all of it.
10) create a carousel toy or carousel book.
11) create shadowboxes.
12) create a carousel/book of backdrops. Figures, puppets to be manipulated through the book's scenes.
13) write a screenplay.
14) take turns drawing cards from the deck and making up a little piece of the ongoing story as you go around the group.
15) do number 14 all together with a group of people in person. or, online, or, by sending this around as an ongoing piece of snail mail.
16) set it up as a kind of a board game where people throw dice and land on an option on the board and make a piece of the story.
17) make pieces of the story through random selection but make your piece as a little work of art or illustration.
18) gather the separate illustrations and make one large photograph, a group photo.
19) write your little story segment. Makes everyone's story segments on separate pieces of paper and pool into a grab bag. Each draws from the grab bag a story section and illustrates it.
20) put the figures cards and elements cards into a grab bag, or a deck to shuffle. Each select four random cards. Make up a story section, or whole story, around the four random cards you selected. Make an illustration for that story, or a series of illustrations. Compile the stories and illustrations if you wish.
